Whoop-c! 2018

Whoop-C keeps living up to its expectations, entering into its 4th year we have another incredible International line up. ‘Italy's got talent’ star Marianna de Sanctis is known for her unique blend of clowning and creative tricking, developed in renowned circus schools Flic and Lido. She's going to be rushing from GOP variety show (Germany) to share her hoop explorations with you here in Cardiff. Get ready to be creative! You'll fall in love with Instagram sensation and devoted convention teacher See Ying Yip. She's coming from London to share her flare for highly technical twin hooping. She's performed all over the globe at Tadha, hoopurbia and J-Fest. You better get that whole body working because up and coming foot manipulation queen Star Fra is upping her game. About to start Circomedia in Autumn, she is currently on a gap year. Steph met her idol Lisa Lottie at our first ever Whoop-C when she was 15 and we have watched her contstantly train and perform and we are excited that she is coming to share her foot hooping tricks with us! She combines acrobatics with dynamic one hoop manipulation and is the master of onbody multi hoop tricks. Esther Fuge, co founder of WhoopC is a professional dancer (The Place) and circus artist who's performed with nofitstate circus, Welsh national opera and protein dance theatre. Find your freedom and groove and move to a contemporary dance hoop fusion workshop. But don't be fooled in thinking it's all hooping, you can face some fears with Nofit State Circus certified aerial teachers. They will be putting you through your paces with an aerial taster, get spinning on an aerial hoop and sky's the limit with an introduction to silks. To prepare you for the day, Yoga Boat owner Tamsin will be teaching a fun and invigorating yoga class in the morning and also encouraging you to find moments of stillness and mental clarity after the hooping madness. She studied with Laura Gilmore (Bristol City Yoga) and Paul Harvey (TVK Desikachar) recently competing her teacher training in the Embodied Yoga Principles. It is a one day wonder of skill sharing, collaboration and networking and we would love for you all to join us.
